Informacja o konferencji naukowej "Aktywizacja zawodowa kobiet wiejskich poprzez rozwój drobnej przedsiębiorczości"

Rural women face new challenges and essentiality to look for any possible economic activity that provides them and their families with sufficient source of living. The purpose of the Conference was to present the situation of women undertaking non-agricultural occupational activity in rural areas and to assess small businesses run by women. In the course of the debate the focus was placed on problems arising from entrepreneurship development in rural regions (legal and organisational conditions, development incentives and obstacles, government economic policy affecting creation of small businesses run by women, etc.). It was stated that there exists necessity for integration of small business runners through setting up different associations or unions (for example of these people involved in agri-tourism activity) as well as for integration of entire rural population (including women). Closer co-operation within selected groups would increase their competition power on the market and would make possible to represent them in the social dialogue. The Conference organisers hope that meeting results fulfilled the requirements of its participants because all of them had the possibility to express their views and present any problems to solve them together.
