Funkcjonowanie spółek akcyjnych "Żywiec" S.A. i "Okocim" S.A. notowanych na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie

On the Warsaw Stock Exchange, food industry is represented by eightjoint stock companies. Two companies “Żywiec S.A.” and “Okocim S.A.” conducted the investigations since the beginning of 1991 to the end of 1995. The method of situation analysis was used to calculate some basic financial indicators (i.e. Gross and Net Marketing Effectiveness etc.). Results of investigations were compared to price changes of shares of these companies and of the Warszawski Indeks Giełdowy (WIG) in particular periods of time and showed: 1. Higher rates of exchange on Warsaw Stock Exchange depend on value and frequency of dividends paid. 2. Greater sale of assets in kind of permanent low sale remunerativeness resulting in higher profit. 3. It is necessary to increase cash flow to reduce inventories of goods hard to sale.
