Organisation and economic-production results in large scale pig farms during 1995–2002

Abstract
Analysis of financial and production results in large scale pig farms during 1995–2002 period is an aim of this research. It was ascertained that number of large scale pig farms decreased, and most of them operate as rented enterprises. Decrease of acreage and labour resources were also observed within analyzed group. Yields in field production especially cereals yields were very similar across law forms of companies. In all types of farms independently on their organizational and law type decrease of pork production was observed. Huge differences were also visible in labour efficiency. The lowest efficiency was evaluated in APA (Agricultural Property Agency) depended companies, and the highest in fully private and in rented farms
