The Level of Professional Background of Farmers - Members of Producers' Groups

Abstract

There are two crucial factors determining professional experience of farmers in running agricultural holdings efficiently, namely the level and specialisation of their educational background and the participation in the courses updating and improving agricultural education. The paper presents the assessment of the professional background level relating to the members of producers' groups. In the analysis, the following criteria were used: the level of education in the investigated population, the correspondence of farmer's education with the character of farm work and the participation in training courses organized by agricultural advisory centers.
