In this period banks were characterized by good profitability and efficiency. The scale of positive yield depended on the share of interest income in total income and the volume of lending. Additionally, for improvement in profitability contributed a higher proportion of deposits non-financial sector, as well as higher interest rates in the banking sector and decline in stock market indices, associated with higher interest rates and interest income.
