Agroturystyka w środowisku społeczności wiejskiej

This paper aims at estimating the relationships between the owners of agritourist farms, village inhabitants and local authorities. Study materials were collected through personal interviews based on questionnaires prepared in three different scenarios designed for: (1) the owners of agritourism farms, (2) the inhabitants of surveyed villages, (2) the local authority representatives. During field study conducted in February 2000, 13 farm's owners, 90 village dwellers and 38 councilors were interviewed. On the basis of the research, the following conclusions could be drawn: Local authorities support agritourist activities but their assistance is not sufficient and mainly concerns with promotion and advertising. In the most cases, agritourism is developing independently of policy carried by local authorities, and is treated by them as an activity of less importance. These are agritourist associations that contribute to improving the co-operation with local authorities. Village residents are both in favour of agritourism and open to visitors. Farm owners make attempts to common activity mainly by establishing associations directed primary towards promotion and advertising. Their operation does not involve financial and organisational aspects.
