Przyjazne środowisku rolnictwo w unijnej polityce rolnej

Author introduced present tendencies in the policy of the European Union in the field of agriculture and rural areas. The special attention is focused on protecting the environment and landscape. Today, the European Union has a number programmes which, if developed, will give greater importance to environmental concerns in agriculture, in particular through common agricultural policy. The Member States are invited to introduce incentives for farmers to decrease both volume of agricultural output and production costs as well as to create job opportunities in order to avoid or at least reduce the exodus of population from rural regions. These measures are finally directed at environment and landscape protection.
