Środowiskowe uwarunkowania rozwoju agroturystyki

Agritourism covers all activities of fa1m family that resulting in hosting tourists in its agricultural household. Development of tourist services provided by farm families depends on many factors connected with the nature of the environment (both with wildlife and geographical conditions) and with management and exploration of the environment. The importance of environment to tourism development has two aspects, which directly or indirectly, have a bearing on it. Firstly, valuable landscape features constitute the base for tourism development and the main aim of tourism practices. On the other hand, the varied aspects of environment protection must be recognised, together with the expectations of today’s society and environmental requirements - the intensification and degradation of the environment lower its values and could lead to decreasing demand for leisure. To give further stimulation to tourism within the rural areas very important investment in tourist infrastructure will have to made to support pro-ecological patterns of tourism and to ensure integrity of landscape, cultural values and attractiveness of tourism resorts and their surroundings. The promotion of pro-ecological activity that meets the environment requirements determines agritourism development what author stresses in this paper.
