Abstract
The article presents the results of measuring the technical efficiency of agriculture in Poland using two alternative methods of group analysis of the border (frontier analysis): method SFA (Stochastic Frontier Analysis) and DEA method (Data Envelopment Analysis). The main objective of this study was to determine what changes in the efficiency of agricultural activity took place after the Polish accession to the European Union. For this purpose, there were compared the effectiveness of the years 2005 and 2008. The results show that, depending on the econometric model may show the effectiveness of changes either increasing or decreasing trend in the case of the same province.
