Tendencje zmian na rynku pracy w Polsce w latach 2000-2010

The paper discusses the current state of the labour market in Poland and gives prospects for its development by the year 2010. First, the study covers macroeconomic environment determining labour market development, namely rate of economic growth, demographic bulge, state of the foreign trade etc. Then, tendencies for labour markets in Poland and in the European Union countries were presented with special attention directed at the ways of unemployment preventing according to the "National Employment Strategy 2000-2006". The outlook for labour market in Poland over the 1999-2000 years is negative when compared to the situation in the previous years. On the basis of macroeconomic data, the increase in unemployment in 1999 and at the beginning of 2000 was noted, generally by reason of economy restructuring, the implementation of system reforms, declining rate of economic growth and some reviling effects of the demographic bulge.
