Abstract
The author raises the issue of innovation and pays attention to its disadvantages. Although innovations are the aim of many states and corporations their implementation is not always successful. The reason is lack of proper institutional and cultural background. Imitations may be an underrated source of competitive advantage. They do not have so many disadvantages as innovations but may lead to them as well.
