Abstract
The transition process in Poland has led to entrepreneurship attitudes among households and to the search for new or extra sources of earnings. Entrepreneurship in rural environment has also an additional aspect - in regard to the realization of a multifunctional picture of the Polish countryside. The creation of such enterprising attitudes was to be one of the objectives of a project initiated by HPI aimed at the popularization of rabbit production (especially among small farms). This project was realized in selected households located in villages in the kieleckie and radomskie voivodeships. The economical results of this project were presented. On the basis of the conducted analysis it can be concluded that the project only in a very small degree led to an improvement of the financial situation of households but resulted in better nutrition in families taking part in the project.
