The purchase prices have impact on the scale of the sold agricultural production. The author calculated relative and real prices on the basis of her own formulas and nominal purchase prices. Relative prices compare current product price with prices of another agricultural products in a given year. Real prices of purchasing agricultural products show changes in the purchasing power of these prices in a given year with relation to the basic year. On the basis of the calculated prices author stated that production conditions of cattle for slaughter - pork, beef, poultry and mutton - worsened in Poland in nineties.
