Development of Internet Banking in Poland - New Information Technologies and Clients Opinions

Abstract
In the paper, the idea of internet banking was presented and its short history in Poland was considered. In the next point basic barriers of internet banking development were discussed, mainly from clients' point of view. In the paper also description of current advance of internet banking in B2B sector was included, additionally basic problems connected with access to account through the internet were discussed. Afterwards analysis of situation in sector B2C was presented with special concentration on the specific of using pure virtual banks. Particular behaviours and expectations of clients and main benefits following from this form of banking for clients and for banks were discussed. Perspectives of internet banks development in the contexts of the digital signature act were summarised.
