Abstract
Author, taking into account the genesis, subject and objectives of the ethics of business, concludes that this is rather the section of praxeology than ethics. Then, she argues that pragmatic ethics of business is needed, since it makes any activities tended to economic objectives more efficient. Author also highlights the sense of economic undertakings in a view of the values accepted by the society and facilitates the systemization of these undertakings according to the rules of social order. Nevertheless, at present there is more demanded the business ethics independent on economic values. However, in the perspective of such ethics, some doubts about an axiology of modem economy could arise. Non pragmatic ethics of business is hopeful source of inspiration for economists of courage and talent comparable to Arystoteles and Adam Smith.
