Informacja z konferencji naukowej "Polskie gospodarstwa domowe w procesie integracji z Unią Europejską"

On 14 and 15 October 1999, in Warsaw Agricultural University there was organised conference entitled "Polish Households in the Process of integration with the European Union". Around 100 people participated in that event. The foundation for the discussion composed papers included in the publication titled the same way as the Conference. During the debate, the questions related to Polish households' standing and its tendencies in the period of transformation were talked over, and the differences in households' daily work between Poland and the European Union Countries were shown. The methods and instruments for improvement of the situation of growing number of poor families in Poland were presented, will pointing out the necessity for addressing the help from public and non-public sources to the most disadvantaged groups of the population. The problem of great importance was food consumption and alteration in its structure and quality. During the Conference, pragmatic conclusions on the ways of improving the situation of households were directed both to government and non-government institutes as well as to research.
